Loved the story. I am so glad you chose to write about this and let the guilt slip away slowly. We were just children and we were also scolded. No more punishment.

Priyanka, this is so lovely… a tender memory delicately recalled. The flip side of innocence is the wrath of guilt and shame. You have evoked it all so gently and in detail that mesmerizes. 💛🩵

The illustrations are truly the icing on the cake!

Thank you, Natasha. It took me a lot of time to generate the images, but I was surprised with the result. Not very proud of using AI, but they seemed good.

a difficult moment from childhood, recalled so gently and like a story that is yours and yet may not be just yours. I admire that you achieved that rare closure by sharing the story with the children of the aunt. nothing like a good laugh to heal childhood "shame".

Evocative writing. And the illustrations are very nice.

You have a way with words Priyanka. I am sure we all have committed some mischief in childhood. You have got me thinking now😜
